During Lockdown I discovered an old box with lost ‘treasure’; a set of ceramic Picasso buttons from Barcelona, a travel journal and lots of old maps, postcards and leaflets collected on exciting trips during my twenties and thirties. Among them were some pre-digital photos which I’d accidentally double-exposed, resulting in layers of Italian landmarks. It got me thinking... "What if I was to deliberately merge and layer images onto my ceramics?"

The resulting cityscapes and ceramic pendants are the start of an exciting new chapter for me. I’ve started with Rome, Florence and Barcelona and tried to capture the excitement and atmosphere of the cities experienced through all the senses.
